YANG flow 1

  • Shapes and movements you are likely to make: mostly traditional yoga asana

    Pace: slow and Steady with music to match

    Temperature: warm, 85-90 degrees

    • Loves a fully guided experience

    • Needs a grounded yang practice

    • Wants a more traditional yoga practice

    • Wants time and space to settle into shapes

    • Wants to work on linking shapes together

YANG movement

 Locomotion, strength, and play on the floor.

  • Shapes and movements you are likely to make: capoeira style locomotion, soft acrobatics, movement partner

    Learn and try style: instructors will break down patterns and drills and practitioners will have some time to work at their level

    Temperature: not heated

    • Wants to explore new styles of movement

    • Wants to get stronger in all their ranges of motion

    • Wants to get upside down

    • Wants to work with others and have chances to build community through movement

YANG FLOW 2

Fluidity and creative expression on the mat.

  • Shapes and movements you are likely to make: expect the unexpected - influenced by traditional yoga asana, functional movement, locomotion, calisthenics, dance, etc. There will be several opportunities for free flow.

    Pace: fluid with music to match

    Temperature: warmest, 90 degrees

    • Loves opportunities to make the flow their own

    • Needs to burn off some fire

    • Has a willingness to try and is game for anything

    • Wants dynamic movement opportunities

YANG TO YIN FLOW

The best of both worlds: a little fire + a little water on the mat.

  • Shapes and movements you are likely to make: mostly traditional yoga asana with a balance between yang and yin postures

    Pace: starts fluid, ends with stillness, music to match

    Temperature: warm 80-85 degrees

    • Loves a fully guided experience

    • Needs a balance between yang and yin but only has time for a single class

    • Wants time and space to settle into shapes

Yin flow

A physical, mental, and neurological reset on the mat.

  • Shapes and movements you are likely to make: mostly traditional yin yoga asana and purposeful breathwork

    Pace: very slow, spending minutes in each posture with calming music to match

    Temperature: warm, 80 degrees

    • Loves a fully guided experience

    • Wants to establish a breathwork and stillness practice

    • Wants to learn strategies to calm the nervous system even in times of stress

    • Wants time and space to settle into shapes

Yin movement

Finding softness, efficiency, and fluidity on the floor.
